Wednesday, July 3
Brewerton’s Fireworks on the River
Visitors can enjoy a community celebration and kids zone at Riverfront Park, a boat parade on the river and food trucks at Bear Creek Restaurant ahead of the night’s firework display. Visitors beware — the area gets packed with cars and people prior to the fireworks display. Plan to find parking ahead of time!

Thursday, July 4
Irondequoit’s 4th of July Festival
The town’s all day affair includes a 10K and 2K fun run, craft fair, watermelon eating contest, a variety of live music and a parade at 11 a.m.

Walkway Over the Hudson’s July 4th Fireworks Spectacular
You can watch the fireworks for free from Waryas Park at the base of Main Street or purchase a $25 ticket for an unobstructed view of the display on the walkway itself by visiting walkway.org. The entire event runs from 7-10 p.m.

Jones Beach’s Fireworks Spectacular

This Orleans County festival is one of the largest July 4 events in Western New York, according to its sponsor, the Lyndonville Lions Club. Events will be taking place throughout the day — a craft show, parade at noon, chicken barbecue and live music — until the fireworks at 10 p.m.

Town of Union’s July 4th Extravaganza
Highland Park’s festive gathering in the Town of Union wouldn’t be complete without its annual chicken barbecue, local entertainment and explosive fireworks display.

Lake Placid’s July 4th Celebration
Be sure to check out the Lake Placid horse show, parade, live music and fireworks over Mirror Lake up in the Adirondacks region on July 4.

New York State’s Fourth of July Celebration
Claiming to have “the best fireworks display in the region,” the state capitol’s event will feature live music by Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers, a flyover by 109AW New York Air Guard, pony rides and a bounce house.

Watkins Glen’s 4th of July Fireworks
Enjoy live music and concessions before fireworks are launched at Clute Park overlooking Seneca Lake. The beach, spray pad, basketball courts, playground and skate park will all be open throughout the day and into the night.

Saturday, July 6
Canandaigua’s Independence Day Celebration
Enjoy a parade taking place earlier in the day on Main Street from City Hall to Booth Street and as night falls, a fireworks display will be launched from Kershaw Park on the north shore of Canandaigua Lake.
